UPSC has released a notification for filling Assistant Professor, Specialist, and Other Job Vacancies. Those who have completed their M.Sc, MBBS, MD, MS, Post Graduate qualifications can apply for the above posts based on the qualification. Assistant Professor, Specialist & Other vacancies are available in the Department of Medical Education and Research, Department / Ministry of Health and Family Welfare & Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Educational Qualification: 

Name of the Post	Qualification and Experience
Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications	Qualification: Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) Experience : At least 2 years experience in handling court cases and other legal matters (or) in handling matters of Trade Marks or Geographical Indications.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Bio-Chemistry)	Qualification: Candidates must complete MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule. (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned Speciality or Super Speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Bio-Chemistry); or Master of Science (Medical Bio-Chemistry) with Doctor of Science (Medical Bio-Chemistry) Experience : At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Cardiology)	Qualification: (i) Candidates must complete MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned Speciality or Super Speciality Experience: At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Endocrinology)	Qualification: (i) Candidates must have completed MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule. (ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality. Experience : - At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule. (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality Experience :- At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Orthopaedics)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule. (ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI. Experience: At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Pulmonary Medicine)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed their MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule. (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI Experience : At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Sports Medicine)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI Experience: At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule. (ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI. Experience: At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer
Specialist Grade III (Pathology)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D (Pathology)/ Ph D (Pathology)/ D. Sc. (Pathology)/ Diploma in Clinical Pathology/ Diploma in Pathology and Bacteriology. Experience : Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate Degree or Five years experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.
Specialist Grade III (Radio diagnosis)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M. D. (Radio Diagnosis)/ M.D. (Radiology)/ M.S. (Radiology) /Diploma in Medicine and Radio Diagnosis or equivalent Diploma of one year duration. Experience : Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate Degree or Five years experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.
Lecturer (Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion)	Qualification: Candidates must have completed basic qualification University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules. (ii) DM (Immunology) or MD (Immuno Haematology & Blood Transfusion)/ MD (Pathology or Becteriology or Haematology) with two year’s teaching experience. Experience : Three years’ teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring post-graduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor.

Pay Scale:

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor	Level-11 with NPA in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Specialist Grade III (Pathology)	₹15600-39100 plus GP ₹6600 with NPA as per rules (Pre Revised)
Specialist Grade III (Radio diagnosis)	₹15600-39100  plus GP ₹6600 with NPA as per rules (Pre Revised).
Lecturer (Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion)	₹37400-67000 plus GP ₹8600 with NPA

Candidates belong from General/ OBC category required to pay Rs. 25.

SC/ST/PH/Women candidates:  No application fee.
